i hate airplanes

so my mom, dad, and i are stranded in chicago -- our flight for new york was sposed to leave at 5:30 but because of delays isn't leaving until 7:30ish. AAAHHHHH; i just want to BE THERE already ("there" as in Florence)! Haha, just kidding. New York will be fun. my mom is an incredible planner and seriously has a crazy schedule all set up for us for the day and a half that we're there!!!

already a little weirded out by the time difference - HA, we left LA this morning at 10:00 and when we got to chicago it was 4:30... who knew it took 6 1/2 hours to get here! ;) the flight was good - i slept most of the way, of course, and (even though it was fully charged this morning) my ghetto ipod is pretty much out of batteries already. figures.

atleast my computer is virus free AND yay for wireless in the airport! even if it did cost 6$...

last day in MB

to make the day less stressful my mom and i went on a date to the Hollywood Bowl to watch the LA Philharmonic rehearse for tonite's show -- not a big fan of the whole orchestra thing BUT it was a pretty good time. It was about 90 degrees tho and my skin is officially blackened...



i'm about 90% packed and ready which is good BUT i found out last night that my laptop has some crazy virus on it... actually i've known for a while but didn't really feel like getting it fixed until last night (when internet explorer opened 125 windows, hm...). ALSO i've come to realize that traveling with diabetes is really complicated -- about half of my bag is medical supplies (i have backups for backups!!). ugh. annoying.

anyways, happy news: tonite for my "last meal" my brother and i are going to EL SOMBRERO. woooo! :(
i'm going to miss it here!

hehe, okay so i think i'm covered in the communication area - the only thing i'm waiting for now is my address which we're getting when we arrive in italy; hopefully i'll get a family with an awesome cook!!!

OH AND i'm going to put up pictures on this but i think that you have to click on each individual entry to see them... i'm computer-retarded tho so maybe that's not true BUT until i figure out another way to do it that's how it's gonna go.

1 day til NY - and a million things to do...

Two days til NY

I've officially started saying my goodbyes. Molly's leaving tomorrow morning and Pete left from Manhattan Beach this morning. I'm really nervous and really excited at the same time which is sorta making me feel like i'm losing my mind.

I've been packing for about two weeks now... today Chow Mein passed out in my suitcase on top of all my stuff - no surprise there.


TWO days until we head off to NY... then off to Italia on Monday!!!
